Billy moved house

Today is Day 2 in Billy's new home. He surprises me continuously by just taking everything in his stride. He really does seem to be not phased by anything. I led him around in his new paddock, let him off and then he just looked at me, looked around, walked slowly over to meet his neighbour, then started eating. Always surprising but also always expected.
Yesterday we took him for a walk down the little road and around an old trot track and he was just taking everything in. He is like an old horse in a very young horse's body.
He was even very good in the round yard and got the hang of the new yard very quickly, but as it is not as well kept as the last place, everytime I stopped him, he would just start eating grass!
I am going to ride him in the new arena today, looking forward to practising some new things I have been learning.
He is such a sweet little thing, but he has one vice. Windsucking. As soon as he went into his new stable, he started, not badly, but the habit is still there (as we had expected it would be but hoped it wouldnt be). So buying him a collar today to be put on him at night when he is in his stable, and locking him out of his stable during the day. The agistment people are so kind, and since he is such a lovely little boy, they don't mind as long as we keep it under control. It is such a nasty habit for such a sweet little boy to have, but he eats so well and is in such good condition, it will be easy to see if it becomes a problem.

So..

So... I got a horse, I am doing third year uni, with honours planned for next year, I have no money, no time, and everything to do and see.

I have some really cool bird photos to put up sometime soon, and maybe a few more of the Pilbara where I have been spending time.

But for now, it will just be horse pics. Hoping to spend some time with Billy and my zoom lens sometime soon (when we get settled in to wherever we end up), he seems like he will be very photogenic, but for now he is just getting lots of quick snaps taken so I can show the world.
